sigma is also actively supporting the development of mathematics and statistics support within the wider HE community. One of the ways we are achieving this is through direct funding, provided either to:
- pump-prime mathematics and/or statistics support provision in a UK HEI that currently has no such provision, or
- enhance provision in a UK HEI where such provision has been established but is not highly developed
The aims of this funding are to:
- extend the support that sigma is able to provide directly to students through an initiative at an additional HEI,
- improve students' experiences of learning mathematics and/or statistics, and
- share the benefit of CETL funding.
So far, three HEIs have benefited from this funding initiative.
